About
Kasim Auwal Lawal, CMILT, is a distinguished Maritime Logistics and Oil & Gas Expert with extensive experience across various leadership and operational roles. He currently serves as the MD/CEO of Reliant Anchor Logistics Limited and Assured Inspection Services LTD. Additionally, Kasim is the secretary of Reliant Anchor Foundation, an organization dedicated to promoting transport, logistics, and supply chain knowledge.
His career journey includes positions such as Head of Operations at Assured Inspection Services LTD (2018–2020) and Cargo Superintendent at Sea Transport LTD (2015–2018). He began his maritime career as a Cadet Officer onboard MT Dani 1 with Daddo Maritime Services (2012–2013) and had early exposure through a SIWES placement at the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) in 2011.
Kasim is pursuing a PhD in Transport and Logistics from UNIPORT and holds an MSc. in Transport and Logistics from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (2018). He earned a Higher National Diploma in Maritime Transport and Business Management with Distinction from ORON in 2015 and an International Advanced Diploma in Logistics and Transport from the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) in 2014.
A seasoned professional, Kasim possesses a wide array of skills including strategic leadership, HR management, sales and marketing, cargo quality and quantity inspection, project management, and logistics and supply chain strategies. He is also proficient in oil and gas trading, transport planning, procurement, and strategic negotiation.
Reflecting his commitment to the industry, Kasim serves as the Chairman of the CEO's Forum for the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Next Generation Nigeria.
